Professor Guerda Jean-Guillaume talks about her experience as a mathematics teacher in the MIT-Haiti Initiative. MIT Professor Haynes Miller http://www-math.mit.edu/~hrm and his team in MIT’s Department of Mathematics http://math.mit.edu have developed a software package called “Mathlets” http://mathlets.org , some of which have been translated by Pierre Michel Chéry and Paul Belony for use in the MIT-Haiti Initiative. MIT has one of the most advanced mathematics department in the world: http://on.fb.me/1F4Fp3e . Pierre-Michel Chéry is a linguist and a member of the Haitian Creole Academy. Paul Belony is a physics professor at Lafayette University and a core member of the MIT-Haiti Initiative.
